Noémie Kocher

Noémie (she/her) is a filmmaker and certified intimacy coordinator. She has worked as an actress, screenwriter and teacher for over 30 years in France, Switzerland, Germany and Canada. A Swiss and Canadian citizen, Noémie currently lives in Paris, France. She speaks French, English and German. As an actress, she has performed in more than 100 films and has also worked in theater. As a screenwriter, Noémie has written feature films, TV films and series for the European market (ARTE, RTS, ZDF, FTV...).

Noémie holds a Master’s degree in Theater from the New Sorbonne University and has trained at the “Ecole de l’Acteur” Florent, in Paris. She teaches “Directing Actors” for directors at several international schools in Paris and also acting to actors. Emotions, their management and the actor’s vulnerability on set are at the core of her teaching.

Her years of experience and her commitment to the #MeToo in French cinema naturally led her to become an IC. As an Intimacy Coordinator, Noémie possesses in-depth, precise and intimate knowledge of nudity, intimacy and simulated sex scenes, areas in which she has often performed herself. She understands the needs and objectives of directors, actors and other crew members on set. Noémie is dedicated to the psychological, emotional and creative well-being of all artists, the protection of crew members, and ensuring that intimate scenes are performed under optimal conditions for both the film and the production.

Noémie is involved in several professional associations for actors and screenwriters in France and Switzerland. She is also committed to human rights and has participated in humanitarian missions to raise awareness of the need to protect human rights with the World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) in Geneva.
