Prakriti Maduro

Prakriti (she/her) is widely recognized for her acting career in Latin American film, TV and theater, her activism in support of human rights, and her highly praised TEDx Talk. She holds a degree in Social Communication from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, as well as training from the National Theater Company of Venezuela. She was awarded a scholarship from Fundación Carolina and Casa de América (Spain) as a playwright and theater director, and also a scholarship to study at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute (Los Angeles).

Additionally, she was recognized as a Berlinale Talent by the Berlin International Film Festival in 2022. She has had a dynamic and versatile career both on set and on stage, professionally fulfilling various roles in the art of storytelling. Prakriti spent over a decade as a theater teacher and director during her early years in the industry, an experience that later solidified her as an acting coach for film and television projects. Since the pandemic, she created a successful online training workshop called Actor/Creator Lab, which she continues to run seasonally. This workshop offers a journey into the actor's intimate universe, designed to help them discover their voice as artists and develop their own projects for their fulfillment as independent creators.

As an Intimacy Coordinator, Prakriti has a deep understanding of the actor's perspective in intimate scenes. She has personally experienced nudity on set, multiple simulated sex scenes, childbirth simulations, simulated sexual violence scenes, and other vulnerable moments. This firsthand knowledge enables her to empathize with performers and provide personalized support that prioritizes their well-being, as well as serving as a bridge of communication with the director, ensuring that their vision is achieved in a respectful and safe environment.

Prakriti is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. She’s based in Los Angeles and available for projects worldwide as a Venezuelan, Spanish, and US Citizen.
