Annie Spong

As a costumer and stylist for over 30 years, Annie (she/her) was fielding intimacy and consent questions from thousands of actors for decades prior to the birth of the intimacy coordination. As a lifelong learner now specifically trained in the intimacy coordination discipline, Annie knows how to help ensure a safe working environment for all actors involved so that they can feel comfortable delivering their best on a daily basis. She is an expert at seamlessly navigating the communication channels on a film set, especially between directors and actors, to ensure all involved are aligned on a common vision. Annie completed her intimacy coordinator training with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC) and is a member of the SAG-AFTRA Intimacy Coordinator Registry, which recognizes IC’s who have deep experience in the field. Some of her recent IC credits include The Patient (Season 1, FX), Beef (Season 1, Netflix), Saint X (Season 1, Hulu), Dave (Season 2, FX), Rebel (Season 1, ABC/Disney), and Perry Mason (S2, HBO).

Equity and inclusion is the foundation of Annie's life values. She is the head of a mixed-race family and an adoptive single mom to an African-born child, has created community projects such as Beach Street Bakers, and has decades of sobriety born out of a broad spiritual support system in the AA community. When the world shut down for Covid-19, Annie helped create deep meaning and community by participating in ongoing awareness for youth and the surrounding community.
