Time: 10am PT - 1pm PT
Location: Zoom
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction to Intimacy Work for Actors teaches performers the ins and outs of intimacy scenes and leaves them feeling confident and prepared to go on set and execute scenes of intimacy like a pro. Over the course of three hours, this class will cover:
1) Consent and Boundaries Fundamentals
2) Applying Consent to Acting
3) Your Union Rights for Intimacy Under SAG-AFTRA and ACTRA Contracts
4) Insider Secrets About Intimacy Work
Amanda has a unique, approachable, and accessible method to teaching consent and boundaries that draws from her background as a sex and relationship coach to make it engaging and even applicable beyond just intimacy for the screen.
If the thought of doing intimacy work makes you nervous or anxious, this workshop will give you the tools you need to confidently navigate any situation that has nudity, simulated sex, or other types of intimate content. Most actors never learn how to professionally maneuver through intimate scenes in acting class or drama school, and this workshop is that missing piece of your acting education.
The class will be taught live by Amanda Blumenthal, the founder of Intimacy Professionals Association and one of the most experienced and knowledgeable intimacy coordinators in the world. To read more about Amanda, please click here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This class does not cover how to be an intimacy coordinator and is not intimacy coordinator training.
